If you’ve read our Head racket guide or seen Head recommended as a “fine, dependable” bag choice in our padel bags guide, you’ll know the brand’s reputation on this site: reliable, well-distributed, good value, unremarkable in flair. The question worth asking before you buy Head shoes to match a Head racket is whether that reputation extends to footwear, or whether the shoes are an afterthought riding on the racket range’s name.
Head’s current padel shoe range
Head’s UK padel shoe lineup for 2026 has four main models across two families, Motion and Sprint. Prices below were checked at PDH Sports, Padel Market and Tennis-Point on 18 October 2026.
Motion Pro 1.5 is the core performance shoe, available in men’s and women’s fits. PDH Sports lists an outsole developed with Mondo for 360-degree movement, a moulded 3D-TPU heel piece, a reinforced toe cap (Drift Defense), a DynaFoam midsole, and Lateral Control+ with a 3D-TPU midfoot shank. Padel Market’s listing calls the sole herringbone. RRP is £135–139; PDH Sports had it at £107.99, Padel Market at £117.99 and Tennis-Point at £78.90.
Motion Pro 1.5 BOA swaps the laces for a BOA dial closure, which gives a micro-adjustable fit. RRP is £185–191; PDH Sports had the men’s pair at £147.99, and Padel Market had an older Motion Pro BOA at £77.99. Worth it if you value a precise lockdown; skip it if you’re happy with laces done up properly.
Motion Team 1.5 is the mid-tier option, in men’s and women’s fits. PDH Sports lists a Mondo-tested outsole, a 3D-TPU midfoot shank, Head Lateral Control, a lockdown strap and Drift Defence on the toe. RRP is £90–96; it was £71.99 at PDH Sports, £47.99–55.99 at Padel Market and £46.90 (women’s) at Tennis-Point.
Sprint Pro 4.0 comes in men’s and women’s fits at the same £138.99 RRP as the Motion Pro 1.5 at Padel Market, which had the men’s padel version at £117.99 and the women’s at £68.99. It is also sold in clay and indoor-court versions, so check the listing says padel. Padel Market also lists a cheaper Sprint Team 4.0 (clay sole, £80.99).
Head’s cheapest current padel shoe at the shops we checked is the Motion Team 1.5, with an RRP of £90–96 that often falls below £60 on sale.
UK pricing and where to buy
On 18 October 2026, current Head padel shoes ran from £46.90 (Motion Team 1.5) to £147.99 (Motion Pro 1.5 BOA) at UK shops, against RRPs of £90–191. Most models were selling below RRP somewhere.
PDH Sports, Padel Market and Tennis-Point UK all list Head padel shoes. Prices move around between retailers for the same model more than you’d expect: the Motion Pro 1.5 ranged from £78.90 to £117.99 across the three. Check two shops before buying.
Padel Market lists the Motion Pro 1.5 and Sprint Pro 4.0 padel versions with herringbone soles, the usual pattern for sand-dressed artificial turf. Our padel shoes guide explains sole types in more detail.
Shoes vs Head’s rackets and bags on value
Head’s rackets earned their reputation through sheer range and distribution – there’s a Head racket for nearly every level and budget, and the brand backs it with real engineering across round, teardrop, and diamond shapes. The bag range, by contrast, is solid without being remarkable – our own verdict was that “Head is fine” for a bag, with the brand mattering less there than fit and features.
The shoe range sits closer to the racket side than the bag side. The Motion Pro’s lateral frame and DynaFoam midsole are padel-specific engineering choices aimed at the lateral movement and sudden stops the sport demands, built with the same intent as the racket range’s shape-specific technology. That puts Head’s footwear ahead of brands that extended into padel shoes purely to complete a product line. ASICS has a wider padel shoe range, with seven lines at UK shops; see our ASICS padel shoes guide.
Consistency-wise, the “dependable, mid-range, good value” read holds. The Motion Pro earns its place next to Head’s better-regarded rackets, delivering a similar standard of build for a similar price bracket.
Is Head worth it for padel footwear
For a UK player who already owns a Head racket, or simply wants a competent padel shoe without paying specialist-brand prices, the Motion Pro 1.5 is a sensible pick – padel-specific construction, sold at meaningful discounts across multiple UK stockists, and backed by a brand with real racket-sport engineering behind it. The Motion Team is worth considering if budget is the priority and you can live without the Pro-level cushioning.
The BOA version is a nice-to-have. Unless a precise, lace-free fit matters to your game, the roughly £50 RRP premium over the standard Motion Pro buys convenience more than performance.
