About Padel Underground
Padel Underground is for the casual UK padel player. The person who plays twice a week, loves the sport, and wants writing that gets them. Not match reports aimed at coaches. Not gear reviews written for competitive players who already know what they want. Just honest, useful, interesting writing about padel — for people who play it for fun.
What we cover
- Technique & Coaching — drills and shot advice for club players, not academics
- Equipment — what to buy, what's overhyped, UK prices and availability
- News & Pro Scene — what's happening at the top level, explained for the rest of us
- Culture & Community — where to play, club life, the social side of the sport
- Beginner Onboarding — everything you need before your first session
Who we are
Independent. We have no sponsors, no brand partnerships, no gear companies with a stake in our coverage. We're not affiliated with England Padel or any club chain. We write about what's worth writing about.
UK-focused. There's plenty of padel media out there. Most of it is global, Spanish-centric, or aimed at competitive players. We cover the sport as it exists in Britain — the courts being built inside tennis clubs, the players booking sessions on a Thursday evening, the culture that's forming around a sport that didn't exist here five years ago.
When we launched
We started publishing in 2026. Padel in the UK is at an interesting inflection point — past the "trendy new sport" moment, not yet mainstream. This is the good bit. We plan to be here for all of it.
