Adidas and Bullpadel get most of the attention when UK players buy padel shoes. ASICS has a deeper range than many realise: UK padel shops list seven ASICS padel lines, from about £42 to £140, and Padel Market links three of them to pro players. This guide covers what each one is for, where the prices sit, and who should consider them. Prices were checked at PDH Sports, Padel Market and Tennis-Point on 18 October 2026.
What is in the ASICS padel range?
UK shops list seven: Gel-Resolution X, Sonicsmash FF, Solution Speed FF 3, Gel-Challenger 15, Solution Swift FF 2, Game FF and Gel-Dedicate.
| Model | RRP | UK price, 18 Oct 2026 | Notes from retailer listings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gel-Resolution X Padel | £139–140 | £113–140 | Mike Yanguas’s shoe (Padel Market); Dynawall stability into the heel |
| Sonicsmash FF | £122–125 | £84–123 | Coki Nieto’s shoe (Padel Market); FlyteFoam midsole, herringbone outsole |
| Solution Speed FF 3 Padel | £130–135 | £84–98 | Coki Nieto (Padel Market, FW25); FlyteFoam midsole |
| Gel-Challenger 15 Padel | £105 | £73–114 | About 350 g; GEL heel; herringbone sole |
| Solution Swift FF 2 Padel | £104–108 | £50–87 | Lighter Solution model |
| Game FF Padel | £78–80 | £52–68 | GEL and FlyteFoam cushioning |
| Gel-Dedicate 8/9 Padel | £65–66 | £42–66 | Cheapest line; a kids’ Dedicate 8 GS is £31.90 at Tennis-Point |
Price ranges cover different colours and shops, and the top of a range is often a new-season colour at full price. You may also see an older name: Padel Market still lists the women’s Gel-Challenger 14 Padel at £75.99.
Many ASICS models come in more than one version. The Gel-Resolution X is sold as a tennis shoe, a clay shoe and a padel shoe, and the Solution Swift FF 2 has padel, clay and all-court versions. Check that the listing says “Padel” before you buy.
What GEL cushioning is
GEL is ASICS’s cushioning system. Padel Market describes it as silicone inserts housed in the midsole that absorb impact at footstrike. The Gel-Challenger 15, Game FF and Gel-Dedicate use it. The faster Sonicsmash and Solution models list FlyteFoam, a lightweight midsole foam, instead.
On a padel court you are constantly moving sideways, stopping short and changing direction. Whether you want a softer or firmer shoe for that is personal, so try a pair on before you commit to one of the dearer models.
Sole type and UK courts
Padel Market describes the Gel-Challenger 15 Padel’s herringbone sole as designed for clay and artificial grass padel courts. The Sonicsmash FF is listed with a herringbone and clay outsole with an X-Groove pattern. Game FF, Dedicate and Solution Speed listings simply say high-grip rubber.
The safest rule is the one above: buy the version labelled padel, because the tennis versions of the same model have soles built for a different surface.
Fit and sizing
We found no ASICS or retailer fit note for the padel range, and no wide-fit padel model. Use the retailer’s size guide, check its returns terms before you order, and try new shoes with the socks you play in. If you have wide feet, trying a pair in person is the safest option.
Price and where to buy in the UK
ASICS padel shoes ran from £41.90 (a women’s Gel-Dedicate 8 at Tennis-Point) to £139.99 (the Gel-Resolution X at Padel Market) on 18 October 2026. That spans everything from a first pair to a pro-level model.
PDH Sports, Padel Market and Tennis-Point all list a broad ASICS padel range. Discounts vary a lot by colour: PDH Sports had the Game FF at £52 in some colours and £67.99 in others. Compare two shops before paying full price.
Who should buy ASICS padel shoes
If you play once or twice a week and want a comfortable first pair, the Game FF or Gel-Dedicate keeps the cost down. Regular players can step up to the Gel-Challenger 15. The Sonicsmash, Solution Speed and Gel-Resolution X are the models pros wear, and are priced accordingly.
If you have wide feet, try before you buy.
