Bullpadel’s flagship diamond racket is on its fifth numbered generation, and the Vertex 05 currently sits at the top of the range. If you’ve read about the Vertex line in general terms and want the specifics on this model (what it costs, what changed from the Vertex 04, and whether it suits your game), this is that breakdown.
One thing to know first: there are two rackets called Vertex 05. The 2026 model is a high-balance diamond that Padel Market UK sells to professional and competition players. The 2027 model keeps the diamond shape, face and core but has a balance of about 25.5 cm and a medium feel, and Bullpadel positions it for versatile play. Retailers mark them “26” and “27”, and the prices differ by more than £100.
What’s new in the Vertex 05
The 2026 Vertex 05 keeps the diamond shape, high balance, X-Tend Carbon 12K face, Multieva core and 365–375 g weight band of the Vertex 04. Padel Market UK lists these frame changes:
- Curv:Aktiv: the inclination of the frame sides increased by 11 degrees to a total of 31.6 degrees
- Air Power: a hollow channel in the lower frame, 50% larger than the earlier Air React Channel
- Vertex Core: a double diagonal bridge with triangular geometry in the heart of the racket
- CustomWeight: 4 g plates that let you adjust balance
Bullpadel says these improve stability, energy return and swing speed. They read as refinements of an existing formula, and we haven’t measured them on court.
Vertex 05 vs Vertex 05 Comfort
Both versions share the diamond shape. The difference that matters is the face.
The standard Vertex 05 uses an X-Tend Carbon 12K face, which Padel Market UK calls rigid. It rewards clean, repeatable technique with power above the shoulder, and mishits show. On 17 October 2026 the 2027 version sold for £294.90 to £306 against a £340 RRP, while the 2026 version sold for £179.95 to £197.90 at PadelHQ, Padel Market UK and Tennis-Point UK.
The Comfort swaps the carbon face for Fibrix, Bullpadel’s fibreglass, over a Multieva core. PDH Sports describes it as having a forgiving medium feel. The 2027 Comfort was £214.99 at PDH Sports (RRP £240), and All Things Padel had the 2026 Comfort at £134.99.
Buy the standard Vertex 05 if your technique is already consistent and you want the most direct feel the range offers. Buy the Comfort if you’re drawn to the diamond shape and the Vertex name but want a build that’s more tolerant of the occasional mishit.
Who the Vertex 05 suits
Diamond-shaped rackets put the sweet spot high, which rewards attacking shots played above shoulder height (smashes, bandejas, aggressive net volleys) and punishes anything off-centre. Combine that with a carbon face and the Vertex 05 needs clean, repeatable striking to be worth owning.
If you have been playing for a couple of years, have consistent contact, and want to finish points at the net, the Vertex 05 is built for that game. If you’re still building consistency or you regularly mishit, start with the Comfort, and our guide to padel racket shapes covers more forgiving options if a diamond isn’t the right call yet.
Is upgrading from the Vertex 04 worth it?
Only if the price gap is small. Padel Market UK had the Vertex 04 2025 at £161.99 on 17 October 2026, about £20 to £35 below the 2026 Vertex 05 and about £140 below the 2027 model.
The Vertex 04 shares the 2026 Vertex 05’s shape, balance, face, core and weight band. What the 05 adds is the larger Curv:Aktiv twist and Air Power channel described above. If you already own a Vertex 04 that suits you, the upgrade is hard to justify. If you are buying new, the 2026 Vertex 05 costs little more than the 04 and is the more current racket.
Where to buy in the UK
PDH Sports, Everything Padel, Express Padel, PadelHQ, Padel Market UK, All Things Padel and Tennis-Point UK all listed Vertex 05 models on 17 October 2026, including the Comfort and the women’s W. Check the year on the listing before you buy, because the 2026 version was much cheaper than the 2027. For the wider Bullpadel range, our Bullpadel racket buying guide covers the Vertex alongside the Hack, Bullpadel’s other advanced attacking line, and the easier Ionic and Indiga rackets.
