Search “Bullpadel Vertex 04” and you’ll find retailer listings and not much else. It is the 2025 Bullpadel flagship, one generation behind the Vertex 05 that now leads the range, and a few UK retailers still sell it new.
That gap matters if you’re weighing up a racket. A year-old flagship at a lower price can be a smart route into Bullpadel’s top tier, if you understand what you’re trading away.
What the Vertex 04 was built for
The Vertex 04 was the 2025 edition of Bullpadel’s diamond-shaped attacking flagship, listed as Juan Tello’s racket. Padel Market UK gives a diamond shape, high balance, an X-Tend Carbon 12K face over a Multieva core, 365–375 g, a 38 mm profile and a 530 cm² hitting surface, and pitches it at expert players.
The technology list includes Curvaktiv, an expanded Air Power channel, Vertex Core, CarbonTube, Custom Weight, Vibradrive, Hesacore, Top Spin and Ease Vibe. All of it should look familiar if you’ve read our guide to the current Bullpadel Vertex 05 range, because the family resemblance is deliberate.
Padel Market UK also sells a women’s Vertex 04 W 2025, listed as Delfi Brea’s racket, and an exclusive Vertex 04 Light X Series built on the Vertex Comfort line, which it pitches at advanced players and at intermediates who already master the basic strokes.
Vertex 04 vs Vertex 05: what changed
The 2026 Vertex 05 keeps the diamond shape, high balance, 12K carbon face, Multieva core and 365–375 g weight band of the Vertex 04. The listed changes are in the frame.
Padel Market UK says the Vertex 05’s Curv:Aktiv design increased the inclination of the frame sides by 11 degrees to a total of 31.6 degrees, and that its Air Power channel is 50% larger than the earlier Air React Channel. It describes the Vertex 05’s core as a double diagonal bridge with triangular geometry. Bullpadel says these changes improve stability and energy transfer. We haven’t measured them on court, so treat that as the brand’s claim.
There is also a 2027 Vertex 05, which moves the balance to about 25.5 cm and is positioned for versatile play. If you’re comparing against that model, it is a different racket from the 2026 Vertex 05 despite the shared name.
UK availability and price
On 17 October 2026, Padel Market UK had the Vertex 04 2025 at £161.99 (RRP £297.99), the Vertex 04 W 2025 at £144.99 and the Vertex 04 Light X Series at £129.99. Tennis-Point UK had the Vertex 04 25 at £239.90. PDH Sports and Everything Padel no longer listed any Vertex 04.
For comparison, the 2026 Vertex 05 sold for £179.95 to £197.90 that day and the 2027 Vertex 05 for £294.90 to £306. The Vertex 04 at Padel Market UK is about £20 to £35 cheaper than the 2026 Vertex 05, so the saving is modest unless you find it lower elsewhere.
Who the Vertex 04 suits
The Vertex 04 suits a player who already has consistent, repeatable technique and wants a carbon-faced diamond without paying for the newest model. It is a fair buy when the price gap to the 2026 Vertex 05 is wide enough to matter to you.
If you’re still building consistency, or you regularly mishit on high-sweet-spot rackets, neither the 04 nor the 05 is the right starting point. Our padel racket shape guide covers more forgiving options for players who aren’t ready for a diamond shape yet.
Buy the Vertex 05 if you want Bullpadel’s latest frame technology and the price difference is small. Buy the Vertex 04 if you find it at a clear discount and want the same shape, face and core.
Where to buy in the UK
