In November 2025, Court De Padel opened eight courts in a converted unit on Whiffler Road – making Norwich home to one of the largest padel facilities in East Anglia overnight. That opening changed the county’s padel map. Before it, Norfolk had a handful of clubs dotted across the countryside. After it, Norwich had a proper padel hub.
8 courts in Norwich city itself. All-weather courts at a golf club. Transparent pay-to-play pricing. A rural club with a membership waitlist. More venues than the county has any right to have.

Court De Padel Norwich: the city’s padel hub
Norwich’s main venue opened at the end of 2025 with eight super-panoramic indoor courts – six doubles and two singles – at Whiffler Road in NR3. For a city that had no dedicated padel facility a year earlier, this was a significant arrival.
Court De Padel is a national operator, and Norwich is one of their flagship locations. The format goes well beyond court hire: there’s a bar and café, physiotherapy support on site, a run club, Americano tournaments, and group coaching. It’s built to feel like a destination – a full sports club, with everything that implies.
Booking is via Playtomic. Pricing isn’t listed on the website, so check the app for live rates – Playtomic generally shows current availability and costs at a glance.
The national context is worth knowing: Court De Padel is opening a Hull location in April 2026, and the company has announced targets of three to four new clubs per year. Norwich was, in some ways, a proof of concept for their UK expansion. The fact they’re moving fast suggests the Norwich venue is doing well.
For what to expect at a venue like this, our guide to padel versus tennis explains the key differences if you’re coming from a tennis background – the courts are smaller, the glass walls are in play, and the doubles format changes how you move.
Royal Norwich: all-weather courts at the golf club
Royal Norwich Golf Club at Weston Estate (NR9 5JE) added padel courts built to international standards – synthetic turf, glass walls, floodlit for evening play. Crucially, these are open to visitors as well as members.
The setting is a traditional golf club, which means the facilities around the courts are well maintained: changing rooms and showers, parking with EV charging, and The Stables restaurant on site. Pricing isn’t published online; book via GolfManager at eu.golfmanager.com/royalnorwich, or call 01603 429928.
If you’re travelling from the city, Weston is roughly five miles south-west of Norwich – worth factoring in if you’re comparing it against Court De Padel for convenience.
The Padel Point, Blofield: five miles out
The Padel Point sits within Norfolk Premier Golf at Blofield, NR13 4JS – about five miles east of Norwich city centre. It’s the most price-transparent venue in the county, and that’s worth flagging: padel pricing in the UK is notoriously opaque, with most venues directing you to an app before revealing a number.
The Padel Point publishes its rates:
- £40 for 60 minutes
- £52 for 90 minutes
- £80 for 120 minutes
These are full court prices for up to four players – split four ways, a 60-minute session works out at £10 per person. Parking is free, and the venue is bookable via the PadelMates app.

Norfolk Padel, Fakenham: purpose-built and worth the drive
Norfolk Padel in Fakenham is about 20 miles north of Norwich – a proper drive, but worth knowing about. Three courts: two indoor Super Panoramic courts and one outdoor Panoramic court, at New Barn, Waterhouse Farm, NR21 0LA.
The facility is smartly built: advanced surface technology, smart lighting to reduce glare, no corner pillars on the indoor courts. Hours are 6:30am to 10pm six days a week (Tuesdays until 8:30pm). Equipment hire, changing rooms, coffee on site.
The most telling detail: membership is on a waiting list. That’s a strong signal of a club that’s full and community-led. Non-members can still book up to five days in advance via the website. Members get priority booking at 18 days, a 25% discount on court hire, free weekly group sessions, and invites to member-only events.

Beyond Norwich: Blazing Padels and other venues
Blazing Padels at Salle Moor Hall Farm near Reepham (NR10) holds a specific place in Norfolk padel history: it was the county’s first indoor padel club, predating Court De Padel’s 2025 opening. The rural farm setting is distinctive – nothing like a city sports centre – and it remains an active venue. Pricing and court count: check via their website or by phone.
The spread of venues across Norfolk is worth appreciating. You have an eight-court city venue, a golf club with all-weather courts, a Blofield facility with published pricing, a purpose-built club in Fakenham with a membership waitlist, and a rural indoor venue that was there before the rest. For a county that’s not a major city, Norfolk’s padel infrastructure is unusually developed.
Getting started with padel in Norwich
Which venue to start at? Court De Padel on Whiffler Road is the obvious first call for most Norwich players. Eight courts, Playtomic booking, a bar for after, coaching available. If you want something closer to the city or more affordable upfront, The Padel Point in Blofield has the clearest pricing in the county.
What apps do you need?
- Playtomic – Court De Padel Norwich
- PadelMates – The Padel Point, Blofield
- GolfManager (eu.golfmanager.com/royalnorwich) – Royal Norwich
- Direct – Norfolk Padel (norfolkpadel.co.uk), Blazing Padels
This fragmentation is a Norfolk-specific irritant. You’ll want at least Playtomic and PadelMates installed before you plan a session – they’re both free, but you don’t want to discover on the day that the venue you’ve chosen uses the other one.
New to padel altogether? Our guide to your first month of padel covers what to expect across your first few sessions: how the scoring works, what gear you need, and how the social side of the sport tends to develop. The short version: padel is social by design – four players per court, no wall between them – and most people find they’re playing regularly within a month.
For further reading, padel outside London covers how the sport has developed in other UK cities and regions if you want a wider picture. If you’re deciding which of Norfolk’s venues to make your regular home, the guide to choosing a padel club covers what to look for beyond court count and pricing. Players travelling south-west will find Cambridge’s padel courts – four venues including £5 university sessions – within 60 miles. For those heading towards the East Midlands, Peterborough’s padel venues are the closest option with multiple courts open in 2026.
