The BPA Cupra Cup has moved. Originally announced for 27 June, the official tournament of the British Padel Awards is now confirmed for Saturday 18 July 2026 at Racketeer in London. Format, venue, and prize structure are unchanged – only the date shifted.
If you were tracking this on your calendar and wondering what happened, here is the current picture.
What the BPA Cupra Cup is
The Cupra Cup is the competitive follow-up to the inaugural British Padel Awards ceremony – 21 categories, 700 guests, Victoria Warehouse in Manchester in May. After the ceremony recognised the coaches, clubs, players, and creators shaping UK padel, the Cupra Cup is where the community gets on court together.
It runs in partnership with Fast4Padel, using their shortened match format. The field is capped at 88 players across two skill groups (Playtomic 1.5 to 3.0 and 3.0+), and the LTA men’s top 100 and women’s top 50 are excluded, keeping things firmly recreational. For a full breakdown of the Fast4Padel format and what the tournament is designed to do, the preview article published earlier this month covers it in detail.
The updated date and format
Date: Saturday 18 July 2026
Venue: Racketeer, 55-61 North Acton Road, London NW10 6PH
Time: 10am to 3pm
Format: Open pairs, Fast4Padel
Racketeer has 11 indoor courts, a café-bar, restaurant, and the kind of infrastructure that can handle a full-day tournament without players queuing to get on court. The prize pool is £400 total – £200 cash to the winning pair in each skill group, with runner-up prizes and event gifts for all participants. Entry is £60 per player (£120 per pair), guest tickets at £15.
Who this event suits
This is built for players outside the top rankings who want something more structured than a club Americano. If you have been playing for a year or more, have a regular partner, and want to test your game in a proper competitive bracket, this is the format for that.
Fast4Padel’s scoring system – first to four games, tie-break at 3–3, no-ad rule – keeps matches to around 30 to 45 minutes. Each pair is guaranteed multiple matches across the day before knockout rounds begin.
Where this sits in the calendar
The rescheduled July date puts the Cupra Cup in a useful spot. Premier Padel London P1 follows in August at Olympia – the professional circuit’s first UK event. So July’s Cupra Cup sits at the community end of the spectrum, just before the elite end arrives, which gives the summer a clear arc if you want to follow the broader UK padel scene.
The BPA connection, and CUPRA’s sponsorship across both the ceremony and the court event, signals that British padel now has commercial infrastructure behind it. That matters for what these events feel like in practice: well-organised occasions with real stakes.
Entry is at britishpadelawards.co.uk. Places are first come, first served.
