The Bullpadel Vertex is one of the best-known racket names in padel, and the pro association is prominent: UK retailers list the Vertex 05 as Juan Tello’s racket. Players who have been on court for a year or two hear the name and wonder if it’s the step up they need.
The question worth asking is whether the racket belongs in your bag.
What the Vertex is built to do
The Vertex is Bullpadel’s flagship diamond range. The diamond shape puts the sweet spot high on the face, which suits the contact point for overheads and aggressive net volleys, and the 2026 Vertex 05 has a high balance that adds swing weight to those shots.
The Vertex 05 comes in two versions with the same name. The 2026 model is a diamond with high balance, an X-Tend Carbon 12K face and a MultiEva core, and Padel Market UK sells it as a professional and competition racket. The 2027 model keeps the diamond shape, face and core but moves the balance to about 25.5 cm, and Bullpadel positions it for versatile play with a medium feel, according to Padel Market UK’s listing.
Bullpadel’s technology names appear across both. Curv:Aktiv twists the side of the frame (Padel Market UK says the 2026 model raised the angle by 11 degrees to 31.6 degrees). Air Power is a hollow channel in the lower frame, which Padel Market UK says is 50% larger than the Air React Channel it replaced. Vertex Core is a double diagonal bridge with triangular geometry in the throat. We haven’t measured what any of these do on court, so treat them as the brand’s description.
The Vertex 05 range
The range has more variants than most players realise. Prices below were checked on 17 October 2026.
Vertex 05 – the flagship. Diamond, X-Tend Carbon 12K face, MultiEva core, 365–375 g. The 2026 version sold for £179.95 to £197.90 (PadelHQ, Padel Market UK, Tennis-Point UK). The 2027 version sold for £294.90 to £306 (PDH Sports, Everything Padel, Express Padel, PadelHQ, Padel Market UK, Tennis-Point UK) against a £340 RRP. Suited to experienced players with clean technique.
Vertex 05 Geo – a geometric head shape with an X-Tend Carbon 3K face, listed as Pablo Cardona’s racket. PDH Sports says the geometric head expands the sweet spot. Padel Market UK lists the 2026 version with high balance for professional players at £188.99. The 2027 version was £305.99 at PDH Sports.
Vertex 05 Hybrid – a hybrid shape between round and diamond with a medium balance and an X-Tend Carbon 12K face, which Padel Market UK sells to advanced players. The 2026 version was £188.99 at Padel Market UK, and the 2027 version £239.90 at PDH Sports. Worth considering if you want the Vertex name but play a more all-round game.
Vertex 05 Comfort – a diamond with a Fibrix (fibreglass) face and a MultiEva core, which PDH Sports describes as a forgiving medium feel. The 2027 version was £214.99 at PDH Sports (RRP £240), and All Things Padel had the 2026 version at £134.99. This is the version most players should look at first if the Vertex is on their list.
Vertex 05 W – the women’s version, a diamond with a Fibrix face, which PDH Sports pitches at intermediate-to-advanced players. The 2027 version was £220 at PDH Sports (RRP £245). Retailers list the W as Delfi Brea’s racket.
There is also a Vertex Advance at about £110 to £115 (Express Padel, PadelHQ, PDH Sports, All Things Padel). It is a diamond with a Glaphite (carbon and glass) face and an Evalastic core, and PDH Sports describes it as built for advanced players. Don’t treat it as a soft first-upgrade racket just because it costs less.
How the variants differ
The face material is the clearest difference. The flagship and Hybrid use 12K carbon, the Geo uses 3K carbon, and the Comfort and W use Fibrix fibreglass. PDH Sports describes the fibreglass Comfort as having a forgiving medium feel. The flagship, Comfort and W are diamonds, the Geo has its own geometric head and the Hybrid sits between round and diamond.
The shape matters as much as the face. A diamond’s high sweet spot rewards contact above shoulder height and gives less help on low defensive balls. If you want a Vertex that is easier to use from the back of the court, the Hybrid’s rounder shape and medium balance are the place to start.
Who it suits and who it doesn’t
The Vertex 05 suits fewer players than its profile suggests.
Diamond-shaped rackets reward players who already have consistent, repeatable technique. If your game is built around powerful overheads, confident net finishing and an attacking mindset, the Vertex 05 will suit you well.
For players who are still building consistency (anyone who sometimes struggles with unforced errors, or who is still learning to defend), the Vertex 05 is likely to make things harder. Mishits on a carbon-faced diamond lose pace and can load the arm. The padel racket shape guide covers why diamond shapes demand technique, and it’s worth reading before committing.
The Vertex 05 Comfort is a more reasonable proposition for a wider range of players because of its fibreglass face. If you’re drawn to the Vertex name, this is where to start.
Vertex vs Hack: choosing the right Bullpadel
The other Bullpadel line worth knowing about is the Hack, Paquito Navarro’s racket. Our Bullpadel Hack guide covers it in detail.
The Hack uses an 18K carbon face, against the Vertex’s 12K. On the 2027 models, Padel Market UK describes the Hack 05 as a medium-hard, offensive racket and the Vertex 05 as a medium-feel racket for versatile play. Pick the Hack if attack is your whole game, and the Vertex if you want a diamond that also has to defend.
On price, the 2026 Hack 04 sold for £149.99 to £178.99 on 17 October 2026 (Express Padel, PadelHQ, Tennis-Point UK, Padel Market UK), similar to the 2026 Vertex 05. Both are advanced rackets, and neither forgives inconsistent technique.
