Padel has made it to South Warwickshire, and the scene here has grown faster than the postcode might suggest. Warwick and Leamington Spa sit roughly 3 miles apart – functionally the same catchment – and between them and the surrounding area you’ve now got two operational venues, with a third due this autumn. For years, players in this part of the Midlands were making the trip up to Birmingham or across to Coventry. Those trips are no longer necessary.
This guide covers what’s available now, where to book, and what’s on the horizon for South Warwickshire padel.
Padel Squared, Warwick – the indoor option
The arrival of Padel Squared on Welton Road is the most significant development for the area. Three fully indoor, panoramic courts – which is still relatively rare outside major cities. Courts are bookable via Playtomic with real-time availability, open from 6am until midnight seven days a week.
Court prices vary by slot, so check Playtomic for the time you want. The facility includes café space, changing rooms with showers, free parking, and equipment hire – a full venue setup, properly done.
What makes Padel Squared worth noting is the social programme. Playtomic lists Serve & Sip sessions (60 minutes, £12), an Over-50s mix-in (60 minutes, £12) and the Padel² Ladies Club (90 minutes, £15). There’s also a £5-a-month Box Leagues membership for players in its box league sets. If you’re new to padel and in Warwick, this is the most accessible starting point.

Booking: Playtomic
Courts: 3 indoor
Hours: 6am–midnight, 7 days
Kenilworth TSCC – six courts, real community
Five miles north of Leamington, Kenilworth Tennis, Squash and Croquet Club has emerged as the established padel hub for the wider area, with six outdoor floodlit courts. It’s a members’ club with a clear padel identity – regular social play, internal leagues, a coaching setup that runs from beginner courses up to competitive matches, and an active WhatsApp community for finding games.
Head padel coach Guy Pearson runs the programme, which covers beginner and improver courses, private lessons, and weekly mix-in sessions. Courts are bookable in 30-minute slots (maximum 1.5 hours) through the club’s own booking system. Floodlights switch on automatically and are included in the court fee, which is sensible – too many venues still charge extra.
Members pay £10 per hour, while pay-and-play is available at £24 per hour. Non-members can register for pay-and-play access without needing a full membership, which keeps the door open for casual players. Rackets are available to hire from the bar.
Address: Kenilworth, CV8 2JS
Booking: my.ktscc.co.uk
Courts: 6 outdoor, floodlit
Pay-and-play pricing: £24/hr
Member pricing: £10/hr
What about Leamington Spa itself?
Leamington town centre still has no padel courts of its own. The nearest new option is The Warwickshire, the golf and country club at Leek Wootton (CV35 7QT), between Warwick and Kenilworth. Its website says three fully floodlit outdoor courts are arriving in autumn 2026, included in its Signature membership at no extra charge, so you’ll need to be a member to play.
Social play and finding a game
Kenilworth TSCC and Padel Squared have each built social communities around the sport. Kenilworth describes its WhatsApp community as active and the easiest way to find games. Padel Squared’s mix-in sessions mean you can show up without a full four and get a game going.
If you’re coming from social padel culture in a larger city and expecting the same density of open sessions, South Warwickshire isn’t quite there yet – but the infrastructure is arriving fast, with two venues live and a third on the way. The mix-in formats at Kenilworth and Padel Squared are the fastest way to meet other players.
For Leamington players specifically, Kenilworth is a multi-sport members’ club with tennis, squash and croquet alongside padel, while Padel Squared is a padel-first venue.
Getting there and nearby options
Warwick town is well-connected from Birmingham by road (30 minutes on the M42/A46) and by rail (direct trains from Birmingham Moor Street). The Padel Squared venue on Welton Road is on the industrial fringe of town with free parking, so it’s easier to reach by car than by rail – allow a short walk from the station.
Coventry is roughly 20 minutes north of Kenilworth, so if you’re looking for more courts or want to check the Coventry padel scene, that’s a reasonable next stop. Stratford-upon-Avon, 8 miles to the south, has its own venues too – see our Stratford guide.
What’s coming
The trajectory here has accelerated since this guide was first published. Padel Squared is an established indoor operation. Kenilworth has six courts and the infrastructure – coaching, community, programming – that turns a venue into a real padel hub. The Warwickshire’s courts are due this autumn, which would make three venues within a few miles of each other.
South Warwickshire has gone from a padel gap on the Midlands map to one of the region’s more competitive scenes in the space of a year.
