Maidstone now has two indoor padel clubs within a few miles of each other and a third on the way. Forever Padel in Boughton Monchelsea has been open since July, Square One Padel at Larkfield Mill in Aylesford opened in September with seven of its ten courts, and Pulse Padel at the YMCA is listed for December 2026. Add them up and the area is heading for 18 courts across three operators.

This guide covers all three: what is open today, what is still to come, what each costs, and which one suits the way you play.

Forever Padel Maidstone

Forever Padel held its grand opening on 4 July 2026 and is the closest padel club to Maidstone town centre. It sits at 1A Monchelsea Farm Estate on Heath Road in Boughton Monchelsea (ME17 4JD), with five indoor courts (four doubles, one singles).

Playtomic lists opening hours of 8am to 10pm every day, plus free parking, changing rooms, a shop and a food and drink lounge. Recovery is part of the offer, with a sauna and ice bath suite, and the club also has a gym and cardio room and a fully licensed bar.

How much does Forever Padel cost?

Forever Padel lists doubles court hire at £36 an hour off-peak and £50 peak (£9 to £12.50 each in a four), and Playtomic memberships start at £49.99 a month.

Pay-and-play is open to non-members through Playtomic. Ninety minutes on a doubles court is £54 off-peak and £70 peak, and the singles court is £20 an hour. The Gold tier (£49.99 a month) is listed with 20% off court fees and the Platinum tier (£64.99) with 30% off, and an off-peak unlimited membership (£75 a month) gives £0 court fees on weekdays from 8am to 4pm. Tiers change, so check the details on Playtomic before you sign up.

Coaching and social play are priced per person. Playtomic currently shows 90-minute FPX sessions at £8 and a 60-minute beginners’ group class at £20. These listings change often.

Square One Padel Maidstone (Aylesford)

Square One’s Maidstone club is at Unit 3, Larkfield Mill, Bellingham Way, Aylesford (ME20 6SQ), a few miles north-west of the town centre. Playtomic calls it Square One Maidstone. It is the operator’s third Kent club, after Ashford and Sittingbourne.

It opened on 4 September 2026 with seven of a planned ten indoor courts. Playtomic shows six doubles courts and one singles court, with opening hours of 6am to 11pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 11pm on Saturday and 7am to 10pm on Sunday. Coverage at the time said the remaining three courts would follow shortly, and we found no confirmation that they are open yet, so check the Playtomic court list before you plan around ten.

The wider site is being delivered in phases. Today the club page lists the seven courts, darts, ping pong, changing rooms and a café and bar. Square One says the rest is coming “later in the year”: ten courts in total, a weightlifting, cardio and HYROX gym, a TrackMan golf simulator, reformer and mat Pilates, saunas and ice baths, a restaurant and bar, a members’ lounge, physio and a pro shop.

How much does Square One Aylesford cost?

Playtomic lists monthly memberships from £20 (60 and over) to £80 (off-peak unlimited). Court hire rates are not published on the club page or Playtomic.

The membership tiers on Playtomic are Silver at £25 a month (15% off court fees), Gold at £50 (30% off), Off Peak Unlimited at £80 and a 60-plus Veterans tier at £20. For a pay-and-play booking, check the price shown in Playtomic when you pick a slot.

Coaching and social formats are cheaper per head. Playtomic shows a 60-minute coached matchplay session at £25, 90-minute mix-ins at £5 to £10 and a two-hour Saturday night Americano at £15. These listings change often.

Pulse Padel Maidstone (YMCA)

Pulse Padel’s Maidstone page lists three outdoor doubles courts at the YMCA on Melrose Close, off Cripple Street (ME15 6BD), with free on-site parking. The wording is “opening December 2026 (subject to planning)”, and no firm day has been given.

Pulse says the site will offer both pay-and-play and membership, but prices are not published. Pulse also has a subscribe form on the page for updates. Until it opens, treat the December date as a target rather than a promise, and book at Forever Padel or Square One in the meantime.

For beginners who want an outdoor, community-focused option, this is the one to watch. Until it opens there is no outdoor padel in Maidstone itself, and the nearest outdoor courts are in the Medway cluster around Rochester.

Booking and getting there

Forever Padel and Square One both take bookings through Playtomic, so one account covers both and the other Kent clubs. Forever Padel is on the southern edge of Maidstone along Heath Road. Square One at Larkfield Mill is to the north-west, close to the A20 and the M20, so it suits players coming from the Medway side or the motorway.

Neither club is in the town centre, so plan to drive. Both list free parking on Playtomic, and Square One confirms on-site car parking.

Which venue suits you

Forever Padel suits players who live in or south of Maidstone and want a compact, five-court club with a gym and recovery facilities on site. Square One suits players who want the most courts and the widest range of coaching and social sessions, and who do not mind the drive to Aylesford, although the gym, restaurant and last three courts are still to come. Pulse Padel at the YMCA is the one to watch for outdoor, community-led play once its planning and opening date are confirmed.
